Porsche fans, get ready — the new Taycan Black Edition and Cayenne Black Edition are here, and they’re looking sharper than ever. Unveiled at the Goodwood Festival of Speed (July 10–13, 2025), these special models combine bold styling with premium equipment and a healthy dose of exclusivity.

What makes them “Black Edition”?

As the name suggests, both cars feature striking high-gloss black details inside and out:

  • On the Taycan, you’ll spot the Sport Design package, gloss-black window trims, exclusive gloss-black mirrors, and a rear light strip with an illuminated Porsche logo. Inside, you get brushed black aluminium door sill guards, a storage package, and a sleek black interior accent pack.
  • The Cayenne Black Edition models (SUV or Coupe) also get gloss-black Sport Design elements, black Porsche badging, and a brushed-black aluminium interior package.

The overall effect? A mix of stealth and sophistication that feels both sporty and elegant.

Performance upgrades baked in

The Taycan Black Edition comes standard with the Performance Battery Plus (105 kWh), usually an option on other Taycan trims. That means:

  • Up to 668 km of range (WLTP) — about 12% more than the standard model.
  • More punch from the 435 PS setup with Launch Control.

In other words, this is not just a cosmetic package — it’s a performance upgrade too.

Premium equipment, standard

Both the Taycan and Cayenne Black Edition models come loaded with features Porsche fans usually tick off in the configurator:

  • 21-inch wheels with full-color Porsche crest center caps
  • HD Matrix LED headlights (tinted on Cayenne Black Edition)
  • BOSE® Surround Sound System with Dolby Atmos (plus Electric Sport Sound for the Taycan)
  • Comfort Seats (14-way electric, with memory) with Porsche crests on the headrests
  • Lane Change Assist and Surround View with Active Parking Assist
  • LED logo door projectors, storage package, and black smooth leather throughout

The Taycan even gets an exclusive Black Edition badge in the center console — a subtle touch for owners who love detail.

Not just black

Here’s the twist: the Black Edition doesn’t have to be… black.

  • For the Taycan, you can choose from Porsche’s Contrasts and Shades color categories at no extra cost — including Volcano Grey Metallic, Dolomite Silver, and Ice Grey Metallic.
  • The Cayenne Black Edition can be ordered in White or Chromite Black Metallic as standard, with more color options available through Porsche’s Legends, Dreams, and Paint to Sample programs.

Inside, you can also swap black leather for Slate Grey or a two-tone design.

Personalisation: the finishing touch

Want to make your Black Edition truly one-of-a-kind? Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur has you covered. The extended Black Edition package adds:

  • Illuminated “Black Edition” door sills
  • Matching lettering on the doors and vehicle key set with case

Beyond that, owners can personalize interior details like the luggage mats, storage lid, documentation folder, and more — all crafted with Porsche’s trademark attention to detail.

Final thoughts

The Taycan and Cayenne Black Edition models aren’t just about aesthetics — they pack in meaningful upgrades, extra range (for the Taycan), and loads of standard kit. Whether you go for the electric sports sedan or the versatile SUV, these Black Editions offer a sweet spot of style, performance, and exclusivity.

Deliveries start in the second half of 2025, and we expect these to be hot-ticket items for Porsche enthusiasts.
