COMING SOON — PORSCHE 996.1 GT3 CLUBSPORT (1999)

One of just 28 official UK RHD factory Club Sports

Rarely does an opportunity arise to acquire a Porsche quite as special as this.

We are delighted to announce the forthcoming availability of this exceptional 1999 Porsche 996.1 GT3 Clubsport, one of only 28 official UK RHD factory Club Sport cars supplied from new.

What makes this particular example even more remarkable is its Polar Silver Metallic specification. Of the 106 UK-supplied 996.1 GT3s, just four were ordered in Polar Silver and, to the best of our knowledge, this is the only UK RHD factory Club Sport finished in this colour.

Quite simply, a 1-of-1 specification.

This is a car we know particularly well, having previously supplied it to its respective owners on two occasions — first in 2009 and subsequently again in 2013. It has since been cherished and carefully maintained, accumulating relatively low mileage and remaining in truly superb condition.

The 996.1 GT3 has long been regarded as one of Porsche's great modern classics, combining the raw, analogue character of the air-cooled era with the extraordinary engineering of Porsche Motorsport. In Clubsport specification, that formula is taken a significant step further, offering a level of focus and purity that makes these cars increasingly sought after by collectors and enthusiasts alike.

With its motorsport-derived specification, naturally aspirated Mezger engine, manual transmission and unmistakable 996 GT3 character, the Clubsport represents arguably the ultimate expression of the first-generation 996 GT3.

Provenance

A particularly important aspect of this car is its provenance and familiarity to us. Having sold the car twice previously — in 2009 and 2013 — we have an unusually detailed understanding of its history and condition.

It has subsequently been cherished by its owners and maintained with the care one would expect of a car of this significance. Its low mileage, exceptional condition, rare colour combination and known history make it an especially compelling example for both the serious Porsche enthusiast and collector.

We are an independent family based company who specialise in buying and selling used Porsches. Why the name? Technically we are Prestige and Performance Cars ltd but since 1998 we’ve been known by our website 911virgin. This came about from our tag line “911 virgins handled with care and dignity”. The reality is and always has been that many of our customers are long standing owners of the marque but we are happy to spend time explaining the ropes as and when required. As a family business we have quite traditional values and take ownership of any problems that arise. You don’t get passed from pillar to post or to some anonymous “customer services” department. Very often the person selling you the car and looking after you afterwards is the same person who bought the car into stock. As such we are careful in both selection and preparation knowing any mistakes will only come back and haunt us later. We also see both cars and customers as a long term relationship with many returning time and time again. It helps that the cars we sell range from the late ’70s to current models so they never become too old, we don’t operate in a narrow window of nearly new cars. A high proportion of our business is repeat or through recommendation. We are not part of Porsche AG or Porsche UK and we are not an official Porsche main dealer. We incorporated as a limited company in 1996 having been selling Porsches for some years prior to that. Initially set up by Henry and Sharon they were joined by Tom, Henry’s brother in 2000. The company continued to grow and new staff were recruited. Matt has joined more recently bringing with him a wealth of knowledge gleaned through an eclectic history of sports car ownership. Vehicles are prepared in our well equipped on site workshop headed up by senior technician Niel who has decades of Porsche experience. Our valeting team undertake routing preparation as well as specialist paint correction and ceramic coating services. We never pressure people into buying from us and are we are happy to spend as much time as you want discussing the stock. We offer test drives in vehicles but would ask that you make an appointment prior to visiting to ensure we are able to spend time with you. We aren’t trying to re-invent the wheel and in many ways are quite a boring company having grown steadily over a number of years rather than appearing in a blaze of glory. We know customers by name and take full ownership of any problems that arise, if you have a problem it’s our problem as well until resolved. We enjoy an enviable reputation on the specialist forums and that isn’t something we take for granted. We are self financed and don’t rely on stocking loans – if you want to have a look at the financials on companies house our company number is 3219800. This makes us a very safe pair of hands if you’re considering using someone to sell your car on sale or return or commission where the potential to lose both car and money does exist. We have sold more than £100 million pounds worth of cars weathered various storms along the way including the most recent CV-19 pandemic and emerged stronger than ever. We have been based at our unique rural location just outside Uxbridge West London since 1998 and both Henry and Sharon live on site – so we aren’t going anywhere soon! We are easy to get to from the M25, M40, M1, M4, M3 and have Uxbridge tube station on our doorstep. There is plenty of parking and if you ask nicely we’ll pop the kettle on for you. We work with a number of funding sources to offer finance and are happy to take non Porsche cars in part exchange. Please call to make an appointment if you want to come and see us.
