911 CARRERA SUPERSPORT TARGA

BACKGROUND This low mileage 3.2 factory built ‘Supersport’ was supplied on the 19th November 1985 by Porsche ‘Motortune’ on the Brompton Road, London. It has been exceptionally well cared for and serviced 29 times in 70,000 miles. The car went through a sympathetic program of modernisation by us in 2020, in order to make the car a little more user-friendly. This started off with the fitment of electric power steering (which you can switch on and off!) in conjunction with a total suspension refresh in order to make sure the cars handling was kept precise. The program also included fresh brakes throughout, brake lines, turbo track rod conversion, major service, new heater boxes, rear seat belts, new engine and gearbox mounts and wheel bearings; all in totalling nearly £20,000. Since then, the car has covered just 2,000 miles and has been regularly serviced with works including a Targa roof retrim, seats re-cushioned and a discreet £1400 Pioneer stereo installed. The cylinder losses show the engine is in very good health, and our pre-sale inspection found it to be in stunning order. A really high quality, useable classic 911!
